The Penn Institute for Urban Research asked us to design their 2013 annual report, titled “Building Shared Prosperity.” We came up with the idea of using geometric urban architectural elements as a metaphor for the idea of shared prosperity. The angles of the subject matter in the photos could represent upward, graph-like trends without being quite so literal. We carried the idea through the report using such photos to reinforce the ideas of prosperity and working together to create a better future.
