The Tolerance chair is a culmination of combining the postmodern art movement with a personal story. The message became more about what I hoped people would learn from my experience than the story itself. The Tolerance chair is round because there are a spectrum of truths; there are no facets and there is no one right way or position to sit in. It is also made for multiple people and designed to be very inviting. (Built by Doug Turner).
The Tolerance logo is a play off of the chair’s shape and the overlap of different truths. The brochure is a direct mail piece to promote the Tolerance chair.
